Many of our members will recognize Kibo Mulima in “Curling is a Place for Everyone”, Curling Canada’s new promotion to support diversity, equity and inclusion in curling. Although Kibo has moved on to university and skips a competitive team based in Ottawa, he started curling as a youngster at RKCC.

Club member Janet Pressacco (Fowlow) is mentioned in the January/February 2022 issue of Kingston Life magazine in an article by Harvey Schacter called “Workplace Shift: The rise of entrepreneurship in the era of COVID-19”. It’s an inspiring story about people gathering up their courage and their ambitions and going after their dreams in the midst of the pandemic. Congratulations, Janet!

Congratulations to Betty Bush’s family on her induction into the Kingston Sports Hall of Fame.
This is a well deserved honour for one of our curlers who has achieved great success in the game we all love. Two banners hang in our curling club bearing Betty’s name and you will find her name on numerous club trophies, on bonspiel trophies in other cities such as Napanee, Brockville and Ottawa to name a few. The list of her curling achievements is lengthy indeed.
There are other notable aspects to this great curler. Over the years she has worked tirelessly for her club, mentoring new curlers, organizing bonspiels and serving on countless committees. She was one of the directors for the organizing committee for the Scotties. Various community organizations such as the Alzheimer’s Society and Almost Home have been the recipient of her generosity in sharing her time and skills.
Well done Betty!
