This popular and fun program will be offered in both fall and winter sessions in 2026-27.
The fall sessions will be held every Monday from October 19th until December 19th 2026.
The winter sessions will be held every Monday from January 4th 2027 to April 12th 2027, although there will be no program on February 15th.
For each session, plan to arrive by 7:30 pm and you will be on the ice at 7:45 pm. The on ice session will continue until 9:45 pm, with a short social time after the program.
Learn2Curl is based upon adult learning and we provide coaching from experienced, supportive instructors. The program includes a focus on safety, fun and a positive introduction to the sport of curling. Participants may learn either the slide or stick delivery techniques.
Registration is limited to 32 participants per session so that there is a good ratio of new curlers with the instructors. If the session is filled, we do use a waiting list, if there is a cancellation.
Registration fee is $270, plus HST. This includes two new grippers and a slip-on slider. In order to receive the correct size slider in a timely fashion, we will need to know your shoe size and hand dominance (right or left-handed).
Curlers should have warm gloves and clean running shoes and will wear the grippers and sliders while in the ice shed. Some curlers prefer to wear a hat, for warmth and curlers may wear a helmet for safety and warmth, and helmets are not provided. Please do not wear fleece clothing which can leave small fiber traces on the ice surface.
All participants will be able to use club curling brooms, club stabilizers (curling delivery aids) to ensure good balance, control and safety. Curlers may wear a helmet and these are not provided.
Participants pick up their grippers and slider prior to the start of the program, so that you are ready to go on for the first session. Drop in times for pickup will be posted and you will receive an email notification.
The Learn2Curl is a successful path to learn to curl and prepares you for our Novice Club curling, which is offered to curlers completing this program. At the completion of the fall session, you may decide to keep on curling and transition directly into the Novice Club for the January to April 2027 session. This is a new registration and more information will be provided during the program.
